I’m Sasha - a designer with a soft spot for polished user-product interactions and a big-picture UX mindset

I approach design holistically — bridging user needs, tech constraints, and business goals. I’ve led the design of smart device features from concept to launch and helped evolve scalable design systems. As a design leader, I’m passionate about building strong teams, mentoring with intention, and creating space for both craft and impact.

my story

I’ve always been drawn to improving everyday challenges — planning carefully, refining details, and finding ways to make complex things feel simple. That mindset naturally led me to product design. I began my career in EdTech, designing software tailored for educators.

Over time, my curiosity led me into connected devices — from security cameras to smart locks, and eventually to connected lockout/tagout systems. Each step deepened my passion for translating technical intricacies into a visual and verbal language anyone can understand.

Today, I lead a team of product designers developing two interconnected platforms:

  • One focused on connected lockout/tagout for industrial safety,
  • And another for managing these systems at an enterprise scale.

I’m especially passionate about interaction design and crafting high-fidelity, polished prototypes that help teams test, refine, and validate solutions early. This approach sharpens the user experience while saving development and QA time by resolving usability challenges before implementation.

In our work, safety and accessibility are at the forefront — especially in harsh conditions where light may be limited, temperatures are extreme, and workers rely on PPE. Every design decision aims to ensure clarity, usability, and reliability when it matters most.

At the heart of it all, my purpose remains the same: turning complexity into clarity, designing products that empower people to work safely, confidently, and efficiently.

things that move me

Much like in design, I strive for a holistic approach to well-being and growth — from what’s on my plate to how I spend the little free time I get as a parent with a full-time job. I care deeply about health and the role that daily movement and a balanced diet play in feeling grounded and energized, and I try to pass those values on to my kids. I love playing tennis for its blend of focus and motion, and piano for the calm and creativity it brings. Whenever possible, I head outdoors with my kids — exploring, or simply enjoying the joy of being outside together.
